Terms and Conditions for Gold Medal Catering Awards
Eligibility
- Participants: The awards are open to all catering businesses and professionals based in Ireland.
- Entries: Each entry must be an original work created by the entrant or their business. Participants are solely responsible for the content and accuracy of their entries. Any entry found to be fraudulent, misleading, or in violation of these terms and conditions will be disqualified, and the organizers reserve the right to reclaim any prizes or awards presented to such an entrant.
- Authority and Permission: By submitting an entry, you confirm that you have the full authority and permission from the individual or organization you are representing to do so and that you have secured the necessary approvals from all included parties and contributors. You also confirm that all information provided is accurate and that the entry complies with all terms and conditions.In the event that it is found you do not have the required authority, permission, or right to make the submission, the entry will be immediately disqualified. The organizers reserve the right to pursue any legal action necessary to recover any damages, costs, or losses incurred as a result of an unauthorized or fraudulent entry.
Entry Submission
- Format: Entries must be submitted through the official online platform by Friday 3rd April 2026. Entries submitted via other means will not be accepted.
- Entry Fee: A fee of €100 Excl VAT per premises entry applies . However, participants can submit up to 5 entries for a total discounted fee of €100.
Payment
- Non-refundable Fees: All entry fees are non-refundable once submitted.
- VAT: All fees and charges are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.
Judging
- Process: All entries will be judged anonymously by a member of our panel of experts. The Gold Medal Catering Awards are judged by the on site visit/inspection and the entry form completed by the entrant. The judges will organise a date that suits the entrant best, to review (i.e The stationary kitchen base or to go a live event to see the set up) and will finish all visits by 25th May 2026
- Criteria: Entries will be evaluated based on creativity, execution, and impact and the criteria are detailed in each category.
- Decision: The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcomes.
Awards
- Categories: Participants can enter multiple categories but should demonstrate a competitive edge in each.
- Notification: Winners will be notified at our Gala Dinner Event and announced at the awards ceremony.
General
- Amendments: The organisers reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
- Publicity: By entering, participants agree to their business being profiled in media related to the awards.
- Confidentiality: All business and financial information submitted will be kept confidential and only accessible to the judging panel who are subject to a confidentiality agreement .
- Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability: The organizers, Gold Medal, are not liable for any fraudulent, inaccurate, or incomplete information submitted by entrants. Participants are solely responsible for the content and accuracy of their entries. Any entry found to be fraudulent, misleading, or in violation of these terms and conditions will be disqualified, and the organizers reserve the right to reclaim any prizes or awards presented to such an entrant. By submitting an entry, participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the organizers from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the entry, including but not limited to, claims of libel, defamation, infringement of intellectual property rights, or violation of any law. The organizers are not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss or damage, including loss of profit, arising from participation in the awards or reliance on any information provided in connection with the awards.
- Data Protection and GDPR: By submitting an entry, participants consent to the collection, processing, and use of their personal data by the organizers for the purposes of administering the Gold Medal Catering Awards. This includes, but is not limited to, entry management, judging, winner notification, and event publicity. All personal data will be handled in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 and any other applicable data protection legislation in Ireland. Participant data will be stored securely and will not be shared with third parties, except as required for the legitimate administration of the awards (e.g., sharing with the judging panel for evaluation). Participants have the right to access, rectify, or erase their personal data held by the organizers. For any data protection queries, participants may contact the awards organizers directly.
